About Chef Yealang
Chef Yealang opened her first restaurant called, Soul Folks Café, in downtown Los Angeles. This restaurant was named the Best Soul Food in LA for several years in a row. That restaurant stayed open for 8 years. Then, she moved her concept to Hollywood, California and called it Soul Hollywood. . This was a big project, 10 years in the making. She learned many lessons through this experience. All the time becoming a better cook, as an entrepreneur, dealing in high finance and people management. While preparing to open this restaurant Yealang had the chance to cook with other really successful restaurateurs & catering companies. Those experiences expanded her skills, broadened food scope and imagination. Now, Chef Yealang develops all kinds of menus to reflect global food preferences; vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, paleo, kosher, healthy southern, meals for athletes in training, to Caribbean, to Mediterranean & Asian. At present Chef Yealang is an Executive Chef, she hires and trains cooks for other establishments. She is working on her first cookbook that sheds light on the path of an entrepreneur.
